WEEK TWO · CONFRONT THE INNER BATTLE
DAY 09
Anger
“Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”
James 1:19–20
Reflection
Anger can carry information about a wound, boundary, injustice, or fear. It becomes dangerous when it moves from messenger to master.
PRAY
God, let anger become information rather than my master. Show me what lies beneath it, then teach me to respond with clarity and proportion.
Amen.
DECLARE
I can feel anger without surrendering my conduct to it.
TODAY'S PRACTICE
Delay an angry response until your body becomes calm.
