Daughter, Go in Peace

Reflection
He called her daughter. After twelve years of being a case, a cost, and a condition, the first word she is given is a family word — and that naming is the part of the healing nobody could have handed her.
PRAY
God, this illness has taken my time and my money and it has started taking my sense of who I am. Whatever happens to my body, give me back my name.
Amen.
