Lying Down
“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
Psalm 4:8
Reflection
Sleep is an act of trust: for a few hours you stop managing the world, and it goes on being held. Lying down in peace is not denial — it is a handoff.
PRAY
Father, as I lie down I resign as night watchman. What I did not finish today, You are not worried about. Let my body rest under Your safety, not my vigilance.
Amen.
