Lent to the Lord
“Therefore I have lent him to the Lord. As long as he lives he is lent to the Lord.”
1 Samuel 1:28
Reflection
What she had begged for, she then held with open hands. The prayer was answered and the grip stayed loose, which is harder than asking and is the whole of what parents are asked to learn.
PRAY
God, when I finally receive what I have longed for, keep me from clutching it. Teach me to hold what is most precious to me the way I said I would when I did not have it yet.
Amen.
