“When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days and the storm continued raging, all hope of being saved was at last abandoned.”

Reflection
Fourteen days with no sky means no navigation and no sense of time passing. The hardest part of a long crisis is rarely the first night; it is the featureless middle, when you can no longer tell whether you are moving.
PRAY
God, I have lost track of where I am in this. I cannot see anything to steer by. Hold the course I cannot see, and keep me from giving up in the middle.
Amen.
