Reflection
The text says she happened upon it, which is the storyteller's dry joke. What changed her circumstances arrived while she was doing unglamorous work she had no reason to believe would lead anywhere.

Father, I cannot see where today's ordinary effort leads, and I am tempted to stop. Keep me working the row in front of me and let You handle the coincidences.
