She Placed It in the Reeds
“She took a papyrus basket for him, coated it with tar and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river's bank.”
Exodus 2:3
Reflection
She did not simply let go. She built the best basket she could, sealed it, chose the spot — and then released what she could not control. Surrender is what happens after diligence, not instead of it.
PRAY
Father, let me do everything that is actually mine to do for this child, and then let me put the basket in the water. Hold what my hands cannot.
Amen.
DECLARE
I will do all that is mine, and release what was never mine.
