The Fourth Man
“I see four men walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed.”
Daniel 3:25
Reflection
They were not spared the fire; they were accompanied in it. The rescue most people pray for is extraction. The rescue most people receive is presence — and it is the stronger of the two.
PRAY
Lord, I keep asking You to take me out. If this is a fire You intend to walk through with me rather than around, make me aware of You in it. Let me notice company where I expected only heat.
Amen.
DECLARE
If I must walk through this, I will not walk through it alone.
