No Smell of Smoke

Reflection
The detail the story lingers on is not the flames but the aftermath: no burns, no singeing, not even the smell. What you go through does not have to become what you carry.
PRAY
God, I do not want to come out of this carrying its smoke — bitter, brittle, suspicious of everyone. Do the deeper work: bring me out of this without it clinging to me.
