Standing in the Middle
“The priests who bore the ark stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, and all Israel crossed over on dry ground.”

Reflection
While everyone crossed, some people stood still in the riverbed and held the weight. Not every role in a rescue is dramatic — some of it is standing in an uncomfortable place long enough for other people to get across.
PRAY
Father, give me the patience to hold my position while others get through. Keep me from resenting a part that nobody watches and everybody needs.
Amen.
