Fifty-Two Days
“So the wall was finished in fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard of it, they lost their confidence.”
Nehemiah 6:15–16
Reflection
It was not finished in a burst. It was finished in fifty-two ordinary days of people carrying stones while being shouted at. Completion is usually just opposition outlasted.
PRAY
Lord, let me measure this in days rather than in feelings. Give me the endurance to keep laying stone after stone until the thing is simply, quietly done.
Amen.
