Make Me a Little Cake First
“Do not be afraid. Go and do as you have said, but first make me a little cake from it and bring it to me, and afterward make some for you and your son.”
1 Kings 17:13
Reflection
The ask sounds outrageous, and it is worth being plain about what it is not: not a transaction, not a technique for producing money, and not a reason to give away what your family needs. It is one small act of trust at the exact point where fear says to close the hand.
PRAY
Lord, scarcity has made me grip everything. Show me one honest, proportionate way to open my hand today — not recklessly, but really.
Amen.

Do one small generous thing that is genuinely within your means — a meal, an hour, a skill someone needs. Small and real, not large and reckless.
